Saddest Film of all time...This will make you cry!

According to research, 92 per cent of people had cried watching at least a film. There is nothing shameful or embarrassing in it, it just makes us a human. Take pride in your tears, it is the evidence that you are a generous and kind man.

But there are some movies, which takes the heart out of you. The Green Mile  is one such film.

Based on Stephen King's novel of the same name stars some great actors like Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan, David Morse, Doug Hutchison and James Cromwell. This was made in 1999 by Frank Darabont, the same director who made "The Shawshank Redemption"

It was made on a budget of $60 million and it grossed $290 million. This movie won both commercially and emotionally.

Paul (Tom Hanks) is a nice man, and his staff is also sensible except the Loathsome Percy, whose aunt is married to the governor and he can have any state job he wants but he likes it here in Jail to see people get beaten up. One day a new prisoner arrives, a big black man John Coffey (Michael Duncan) who is convicted of raping and murdering two little white girls.

The name Green Mile is because Death row(where the death penalty is given) has a green floor. The movie revolves around the relationship between the jail staffs and the prisoners and who could forget Mr Jingles (a rat). This movie is so well made that even a little pain to this rat will make you weep.

Mr. Jingles

John Coffey is a mystery person, or you can describe him as a godly person. The movie which started to make us feel like a crime drama turned out to be more than that. Fantasy, humour, this movie got everything.

There are several sequences of powerful emotion in the film. The way all the actors acted, the strong cast is making this film a must-watch. It was nominated for four Oscars, best picture, best supporting actor, best writing & screenplay and best sound.

The length is about three hours but the film never drags nor a dull moment. The length is indeed necessary for proper detailing of each thing. There is so much emotion, you will weep in the end.

What you want to watch it? Excellent! Don't forget the tissue with you.
